Agapanthus are commonly known as lily of the Nile grow from a from a bulb-like rhizome. Colors range from the light blue lavender,( nearly white ) to a deeper shade of purple. Good for filling large space with colorful blooms in Summer. Agapanthus is native to southern Africa, is heat tolerant. The star-shaped flowers grow mainly in shady areas where it is protected from the heat of the African sun.
