I was born Richard Thomas 60+ years ago in a Southern California. Art has always been a passion of mine, especially painting with acrylics, oils or water color. As well as drawing. I studied architectural drafting and design at San Bernardino Valley Junior College between 1968 and 1970. By June of 2004, Richard Thomas retired from the retail meat cutting trade. After all my chores were done at home I started another career working in a local camera shop to supplement my retirement income. There I discovered another art form - painting with light. Digital photography makes it incredibly simple to capture the beauty of God's creation. The first thing God created was light. Without light there is no color. God is light and in Him there is no darkness. I enjoy helping camera shop guests select their camera purchases. One of the most frequent questions is, "What camera takes the best pictures?" My response is, with a smile, "The one you learn how to use!" I always get a positive nod. And another camera sold by Richard Thomas.
